Turkish designer Serdar Uzuntaş was born and raised in Izmir. He's been involved in various parts of the fashion business for more than a decade. He began working in fashion retail and was soon a manager for V2K, a division of Vakko, the famous Istanbul-based multibrand luxe stores. In 2006, he moved to London to study at Central Saint Martins and launched his eponymous label in 2010. So this is his début collection. It's a concise presentation of simpe yet interesting pieces with personalized subtle details inpired by antique military and traditional worker's clothing from the early 20th century. The unique concept is that each piece is designed to be worn by both men and women who undertand that there's no difference -a good trench coat is a good trench coat, a cool parka is a cool parka and a great pair of jeans look great on everyone. As it transcends gender, the collection also transcends cities and countries. Designed in London, it is manufactured in Istanbul with Italian fabrics. Each item is named after a street of Notting Hill, the neighborhood where Serdar Uzuntaş now resides in London.
