Born in Essex, UK, Ed Drewett is a 22year old singer/songwriter from Bishops Stortford. He signed to Virgin EMI records in February 2009 and has been writing his début album for the past year which is set for release early 2011, featuring some of the biggest producer/writers in music, including Wayne Hector, Cutfather and JJ and Fraser T.Smith to name a few. He most recently appeared as a feature vocalist on the smash hit Professor Green track "I need you tonight" which went straight into the UK charts at number 3 and remained in the top ten for 4 weeks. Drewett also co-wrote the first single for new lad-band sensation The Wanted.
His own début single "Champagne lemonade" co-written with Tim Powell has just been released, the lyric "All because he buys you champagne, I buy you lemonade, makes him something of a Casanova" is just one example of his unique lyrical content that is evident across the whole album.
