I presented Georgy Baratashvili last season, but for those of you who can't remember, here's a reminder ! Born and raised in Moscow but of Georgian extraction, Georgy Baratashvili danced professionally for fifteen years. Always keen on fashion, he studied design and pattern cutting in Moscow, created costumes for stage plays and worked as a freelance stylist for various publications. In 2003, he moved to London to continue his fashion explorations and completed a BA at London College of Fashion and a MA at Central Saint Martins in February 2008. Taking inspiration from his past as a dancer with a twist of dark romanticism, he designs for men... yet his beautiful clothes became a secret passion of many women. For this season's collection, he mixed up lots of stuff once more. GB was inspired by space suits and pilots uniform. Especially bomber jacket. Bomber jacket is one of his favorite pieces and he's always trying to reinvent it in one way or the other. Besides, there are some pieces from the dancer's wardrobe (what a surprise from me) such as leg warmers and arm warmers. He used some hi-tech waterproof fabrics to make the collection look kind of futuristic.
