Basque designer Alberto Echevarrieta has been sculpting with his hands a fashion based on drapes and volumes for six years now. Thinking unisex rather than womenswear vs menswear, he has built his own identity by sticking to his independence regarding the fashion sphere's rules. In 2006, the Bilbao-based artist walked off the Benicàssim music festival with a prize and since then has gone to a string of Spanish fash weeks. Quite an impressive run for this self-made man who likes to think of fashion as a means of expression rather than some dictatorship to agree with blindly. This season's collection, entitled "Sinoux II" takes us from airy see-through white veil lined with red tape blended with street apparel, to a pot-pourri of patterns, explosive colors, war paintings, feathers (para los que se atreverían a soltar una) and a bathing suit ! Alberto Sinpatron knows how to amaze his clientèle all the way.
