Antonio Azzuolo

The reference to "The adventures of Tintin" came through in this playful and graphic -yet refined and polished- collection via color blocking, colorful stripes, intarsia sweaters and varsity jackets. "A twisted bespoke flavor with a casual edge" is how Antonio Azzuolo described this season's collection. And that's exactly how it played out in this colorful but sophisticated show : high-waisted officer pants and knockout knitwear -especially the ivory shawl-collared sweater with color blocking. Suspenders, bowler hats and skinny pants might immediately also bring to mind "A clockwork orange", but Antonio Azzuolo's offering is more like Kubrick by way of Kodachrome. With a cream-colored bowler hat, he paired a bright orange pair of shorts that ended above the knees. With black socks that went past the calves, a lime green cardigan. Let alone the two-tone short shorts. The collection fliply played with the concept of dandy menswear for those who know the rules but just want to break them. Have fun !
