Greek designer Yiorgos Eleftheriades' philosophy is based upon his love for classical forms. In his search for contemporary elegance, he aims to create a truly alternative urban style with interesting shapes quality tailoring and experimental combinations of fabrics and textures. He is often fond of bringing together contrasting materials or elements. The main idea behind his perception is a trans-seasonal timelessness and a glamorous but cool day-to-night approach. The clothes might appear minimalistic and boldly outlined when worn matchingly but can also be worn in a more accessible and softer neo-romantic style with the juxtaposition of fabrics and shapes. This season's collection is about urban hunters with a futuristic twist. Yiorgos Eleftheriades designed silhouettes with sculptural cuts and an unexpected placement of volumes of strategically positioned slits that expose skin play-off against body-related shapes. The palette is a mix of industrial hues : Air Force blue, mushroom gray, dark marine, tanned olive are set against black. Rich combinations of texture include an interplay between calf and patent leather, both Kidassia and Mongolian fur, cashmere, grosgrain, gabardine, merino knits and two types of jersey, in fine wool and a technologically advanced denim weave. Very attractive.
