Antonio Azzuolo

Inspired by early Elvis, midnight cowboys and glam folk-rock, this season's collection is rustic Western meets Chuck Bass in the sexiest way : think leather pocket squares, saddle shoulders and metallic accents, mix colors, tip cowboy hats and rock mid-thigh shorts without looking like a Euro-Western hot mess.
With a nod to Robert Conrad's character from the original TV series, 'The Wild Wild West', Antonio Azzuolo finds a modern way to reinvent the sartorial cowboy for 2010. Horsey motif sweaters are made in Peru yet have a born-in-the-USA quality when paired with cashmere trousers and a handmade blazer. Silver shoes give an all-American gray flannel suit a modern flash, while cowboy hats complete the look of of a 21st-century pioneer who is both ready for business and at home on the range.
Montréal-born designer Antonio Azzuolo painted a picture of a rugged terrain. The showcase held at Jack Studio in Chelsea presented menswear rugged enough for a horseback ride in Central Park, but urbane enough for a night out on the town. The entire collection seemed to scream, "I am a cowboy, but I have horses in Long Island and loft in Soho". A true marriage of cowboy and urban slicker.
