Similar to the varying effects a perfume can have on any particular person, Ende/Anfang (German for 'End/Beginning') explores the way an individual might remember thoughts and feelings associated with the experience of the fragrance. The inspiration for this one started with Damir Doma's unique fashion. His vision motivated the design. Everything comes to an end. Delicately falling in. Unable to hold on to the remains of self-awareness. Beneath the surface, a warm tide rising. The darkness of the night gives way to the clarity of day. Calming the heart. Rising from the water, eyes wide open, washed in white light. The past drips onto the pools of has-beens below. Stepping onto land and feeling the soft earth against the skin. Like a beginning. Perfumer Yann Vasnier elaborated the scent like a garment. Using only natural ingredients and in layers of thin, sheer and transparent materials : purple ginger from Indonesia, olibanum from Somalia, vetiver oil, cedarwood from Atlas, guaiacwood from Paraguay, cardamom from Guatemala, coriander, citrus oil from Spain, birch tar, styrax, tonka beans from Venezuela, sandalwood from Australia, gurjum balsam, patchouli from Indonesia, myrrh from Somalia.
