My fashion view of Florence and St. Moritz

Me, Myself and Moi with my other moi, my beautiful Valeria @Florence!!
In Florence, Fashion is a type of art, that is part of the city's cultural heritage. Only in Florence you can find stores and boutiques of the most important Florentine designers: Ferragamo, Cavalli, Gucci, Prada, Enrico Coveri, Patrizia Pepe, Emilio Pucci, who represent Italian fashion in the world. Through your interest in fashion, Florentine shopping will bring you to Ponte Vecchio that, thanks to its precious jewelleries, represents the heart of the artisan Florence.

Florence has three distinct and unique fashion streets: Via Tornabuoni, Via della Vigna Nuova and Via Strozzi. Each has specialties and its own tone.

The bulk of the best shopping in Florence is on the Via Tornabuoni. The Via Tornabuoni starts at the Arno River and runs north to the Piazza della Repubblica, an ancient Roman forum that has retained its nature as a public gathering place for two millenia.
Via della Vigna Nuova

Perpendicular to Via Tornabuoni, you'll find the Via della Vigna Nuova, with Dolce e Gabbana, La Perla, Lacoste and Ermenegildo Zegna. Mont Blanc is nearby, as is Swarovski, Versus Versace, and dozens of smaller designers who may be tomorrow's Versaces.

Via degli Strozzi
On the other side of Via Tornabuoni, Via della Vigna Nuova suddenly becomes the Via degli Strozzi, where you'll find the Emporio Armani and many other upscale stores, as well as a number of hotels and vacation rental apartments from which you can base your shopping expeditions along the Tornabuoni.

Besides shops, Florence is rich in open-air markets. The Market of San Lorenzo, situated in the center of the city, is the prefered destination of tourists.

The New Market, where one can acquire leather goods and souvenirs, is sheltered under the sixteenth-century Loggia del Porcellino.

At the Flea Market, near Piazza Santa Croce, one can make good deals on small antique items. The last Sunday of every month except July, the market expands into the adjacent streets.
