This season's collection is about a sensual realtionship between a man and his work. How weird is that, you would say ? Austrian designer Ute Ploier noticed that nowadays most men's work is about taking part in a process and no longer about an act of creating a complete object. Work, for many of us, has become an abstract procedure and the sensual connection between creator and final product is often missing. Therefore, this collection goes back to the roots of working men. The silhouettes as well as the colors -mostly dark- are inspired by the elegant and simple shapes of crafts tools used by glass-blowers or blacksmiths. The patterns are based on these geometric shapes but excecuted in soft and sensual materials. The effect is one of a geometric draping and is visible in coats, knitwear pieces and accessoiries like scarf-waistcoats. Materials of the collection have an astonishing and luxurious touch : finest Alpaca, mohair, new Merino, waxed cotton, leather, washed Oxford for shirtening.
